Monday afternoon

Leaving in a few minutes to go walking with Sri. It's another lovely sunny day here in Banchory but freezing cold. Good day for walking.

Mary sent me a text on Saturday night to say that she had had a really good time at the Good Food Exhibition in Glasgow. Julie and she had gone for the day and as her birthday treat Julie had got them tickets to be part of the audience at a James Martin Cooking session... great fun and lots of yummy free samples, she said.

He is a celebrity chef on the BBC in case you don't know, Lucy.

For those of you who have followed the saga of the pumpkin soup, we did have it on Saturday night when everyone was round...I'm wishing now I had taken a photo of it.

It was a masterpiece. James Martin would not have been embarrassed to claim it as his own, garnished as it was with cinnamon croutons and ... a sprig of mint! :) :)
