Holiday 2012 Australia
First entry
Where: Seasons Harbour Plaza
When: Monday morning, just before eight in the morning
Recovering from a real scare. . . I lost my handbag, the contents of which included my purse with all my credit cards in it, my camera and my passport!
I woke with a start this morning, knowing deep down inside that I hadn't brought my bag home last night and spent the next ten minutes desperately trying to prove myself wrong.
Ian tried phoning my mobile but got no answer but then struck lucky when he phoned The Lord Nelson' - the pub we ate in last night.
Relief - doesn't cover it.
We've spent the last 24 hours in Sydney having flown non-stop from Aberdeen.
The hotel is comfortable and is well located for getting around. In fact we can see a little corner of Darling Harbour if we look left out of the bedroom window.

We spent most of yesterday in the Botanical Gardens. Took some photos in the tropical greenhouse there. The girl in the kiosk commented to Ian, as he bought the tickets, that it wouldn't be long till Scotland was an independent country! Interesting?

We also took a wee wander around the Opera House although we didn't take the tour and had lunch in 'Philip's Foote' on The Rocks. We came across it totally by chance near the local Market.
The Cook House, as the name above the door informed us, is part of the pub but separate. Confusing, I know. We were confused too!
We sat in a lovely little courtyard, buying our beer from the pub to the front of us and securing our food from the Cook House situated behind us!
I deliberately used the word secured as our steak and kebab came raw. You cook it yourself on their barbecue grill!
